Aanhin Mo Ang Lahat Ng Bagay Kung Wala Si Lord Sa Iyong Buhay!

Ang pag-strike ng 12:00 AM tuwing January 1 ay tila hudyat ng panibagong panimula. Clean slate, kumbaga. Kaya naman ang panibagong taon ay nagdadala sa atin ng renewed hope–hope for a better year, better health, better career opportunities, better financial status, better relationship with our loved ones, and a better life.

Ang new year ay naguudyok sa atin na mag-lista. Naglilista tayo ng mga bagay that we are grateful for in the year that passed. Naglilista tayo ng ating new year’s resolution o mga bagay na gusto nating i-improve sa mga aspects ng buhay natin. Naglilista tayo ng goals na gusto nating ma-acheive. At ang listahan natin ay punong puno ng mga bagay that concerns our health, finances, career, family, among others.

Pero may tanong ako sa iyo. Kasama ba sa listahan mo ang relasyon mo sa Panginoon? Oo nga’t nagpapasalamat ka sa Kanya sa mga biyaya na ibinigay Niya sa iyo. Oo nga’t nanghingi ka sa Kanya ng grace para matupad mo ang mga bagay na gusto mong ma-improve mo sa iyong sarili. Oo nga’t nanghingi ka ng guidance sa Kanya para ma-acheive mo ang goals mo. But did you take time to consider what steps you should make to be closer to God? To have a deeper relationship with Him?

Oo?

Then great! And I highly suggest that you continue to seek Him because among all the aspects of your life, your relationship with Him is the most important.

Hindi?

Ayan tayo eh.

Ok lang naman ang magpa-salamat sa Kanya sa mga blessings na binibigay Niya. Ok lang din naman na mag-ask ng blessings sa Kanya. Pero pinaka ok kung magfo-focus ka sa SOURCE ng mga blessings at hindi dun sa blessings alone. Madalas kasi ay we are so engrossed with the blessings that we forget to connect to the One who gives them.

God is a generous God. He gives abundantly. Hindi ka Niya pagdadamutan. But you know what? Ang mga material blessings–pati blessings sa health, sa relationships o sa career–will only last in this lifetime. Pero yung magkaroon ka ng deeper and closer relationship with God is a blessing that will endure to forever.

So if there’s one important point that I want you to take from this blog, it’s this:

SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

May pangako si God. Sabi sa Matthew 6:33, “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Yung “these things” na tinutukoy dito ay yung mga blessings na nakahandang ibigay sayo ng Panginoon–wealth, health, peace, joy . . .you name it! But I don’t want you to focus on “these things”. I want you to focus on the first six words: seek first the kingdom of God. That should be your priority this 2016. That should be your ultimate goal. Without Him, we wouldn’t be here celebrating the new year. Without Him, we are nothing.

THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.

Our ultimate goal for this 2016 should be to seek God and have a deeper and closer relationship with Him.
